Chico police received a report that an individual allegedly armed with a hand gun was seen heading towards Chico High School after 9:30 Tuesday Morning. This prompted authorities to place the high school on lockdown. Chico Jr. High School and Citrus Elementary School were also placed on lockdown and Chico State University Police were notified. Officers searched the area and the high school but were unable to find anyone matching the description of the individual. After an hour and a half the lockdowns at the schools were lifted.
