The Glenn County Sheriff's Office releases the identity, today, of a man wounded in a shooting west of Orland Friday night. 35-year-old David Gammon of Willows was reportedly found lying in the roadway on Newville Road with several gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital were he is recovering. Gammon told detectives that an Hispanic male started to shoot at him for an unknown reason. Authorities went to a residence on the 5800 block of Country Road 200 where they believe the shooting took place. According to authorities, several marijuana plants were found at the residence but no people or weapons were found during the search.
