The verdict is in the Patrick Feaster Case

The jury took less than 24 hours to find 32-year-old Patrick Feaster guilty, Tuesday, in a Butte County court room. Feaster was charged with being criminally negligent when he shot 26-year-old Andrew Thomas in the neck in November 2015. The shooting took place after a brief pursuit that ended in a rollerover crash on Pearson Road in Paradise. Thomas was shot after attempting to get out of the vehicle. Feaster claimed he fired inadvertently while pulling the weapon out. Prosecutors had argued that Feaster did not follow proper training as a police officer.
