Butte County Fires Latest

Containment continues to grow for the La Porte Fire. That fire started earlier this week in southern Butte County and has since spread into Northern Yuba County. The fire has burned over 61 hundred acres and is now 45 percent contained. The blaze has burned multiple structures in the community of Bangor.
According to Cal Fire, Evacuation Orders and Warnings have been reduced due to the progress being made by fire crews.
 
The containment is growing for the Cherokee Fire. The fire started in the Cherokee area Sunday and has burned over 84 hundred acres. According to Cal Fire Butte County, the blaze is now 70 percent contained.
All Evacuation Orders and Warnings have been lifted and Cherokee Road is now open.
 
The Honey Fire started Monday west of Paradise off of Honey Run Road and Merlin Lane. The fire has burned 150 acres and is still at 75 percent containment.
According to Cal Fire, all Evacuation Warnings have been lifted. Honey Run Road remains closed in the fire area.
