Authorities are investigating human remains found in Bangor. A resident found the remains on a property near Upham Road Friday afternoon. Butte County Sheriff's detectives say the body appeared to have been there for several months. According to a Butte County Sheriff's Office press release, the remains are being sent to the Department of Justice as well as Chico State's Department of Anthropology for further identification.
