The Sheriff's Office says the all day closure of the records unit today is so staff can learn a new records management system. 

Some of the services provided by the Records Unit include, release of crime reports, release of impounded vehicles the processing of California Concealed Carry Weapons Licenses and other permits. 

The Records Unit is located at 5 Gillick Way in Oroville.
