A Lake Tahoe Man is Arrested for Possession of a Large Amount of Drugs

A Butte County Sheriff's deputy responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle near the Oro Quincy Highway north of Berry Creek around 9 Monday night. The deputy contacted the occupant of that vehicle identified as 38-year-old Jay White of Lake Tahoe. The deputy searched the vehicle and reportedly found several thousand pills believed to be ecstasy, one pound of cocaine, three pounds of MDMA, about 2 pounds of Ketamine, psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, DMT, and marijuana. A handgun and 16 thousand dollars in cash were also reportedly found in the car.
According to a Butte County Sheriff's Office press release, White was arrested for possession for sale of several different controlled substances and other related charges.
