Oroville Drug Sales Arrests

A report of shots fired led to arrests for drug sales in Oroville. A deputy contacted a group of people in the area of Wheeler Avenue and Upper Palermo Road around 1:15 Tuesday morning after reports of shots heard in that area. Two people were arrested for being in possession of controlled substances. A third person, identified as 40-year-old Lindsey Richardson was arrested for an active warrant for her arrest. Richardson allegedly admitted to having drugs concealed inside her clothing prior to entering the Butte County Jail. 50 grams of heroin, over 20 grams of meth, and about 28 grams of marijuana were reportedly found. Authorities say the street value of the heroin was about $5,000.

According to a Butte County Sheriff's Office press release, there was no evidence found of shots fired.
