Butte County authorities are investigating a drug overdose at the Gold Country Casino Monday morning. The Sheriff's Office says it responded to a possible overdose involving a woman, two men, and a five month old child. All are said to be in stable condition in the hospital thanks to quick action by EMS personnel and the administration of the drug Narcan. According a Butte County Sheriff's Office press release, there is evidence of illegal drug use in this case, likely heroin however, they are looking to determine if there's a connection into the overdoses of 14 people and the death of 34-year-old Aris Turner in Chico Saturday which authorities say caused by fentanyl and another unknown substance.
