Chico Police are crediting a K-9 and his handler for sniffing out a package of drugs. The K-9, known as "Pax", alerted his handler to a container at an undisclosed location in Chico around 3:30 Tuesday afternoon. According to a Chico Police press release, Pax sniffed out about 133 pounds of processed marijuana and some 400 grams of highly concentrated honey oil. According to police, the estimated street value was about $500,000.
The case will be turned over to the Butte County Special Enforcement unit for further investigation.
