COLUSA CASINO RESORT – Benefit Concert Raises over $16,000 to Help Fire Relief Efforts

COLUSA, Calif – (Jan. 30, 2019) – Colusa Casino Resort presented a check to the American Red Cross California Wildfires Relief and the California Fire Foundation totaling over $16,000 to help victims of the historic wildfires that damaged much of Northern California in 2018.
Victor Fernandez, General Manager of Colusa Casino Resort along with its owners, the Cachil Dehe Band of Wintun Indians described the fires as devastating and wanted to take action right away to help those in need. Colusa Casino Resort and Presenting Sponsor Recology, partnered in late 2018 to put together a benefit concert where 100% of ticket sales would be donated.
Amanda Ree, Executive Director of the American Red Cross proclaimed, “Colusa Casino is always a steadfast supporter of our local communities. This support for our wildfire fund came at a critical time between two large local disasters, the Carr Fire and the Camp Fire. And, it has done much to bring our mission to the communities impacted by these devastating fires - allowing us to provide safe beds and warm food as well as provide the direct financial assistance that can help families with immediate needs.”
“The concert at Colusa Casino offered a measure of comfort and renewal for those facing a difficult time,” said Brian Rice, Chair of the California Fire Foundation. “The money from this event will help rebuild homes and lives shattered by catastrophic wildfires.”
