Two Butte County Sheriff's deputies initiated a traffic stop on a Toyota pickup in the area of Esplanade and Aspen Glen Drive Sunday due to a license plate light not functioning. While contacting the two men in the truck a deputy saw part of a rifle under items of clothing in the vehicle. The deputies searched the pickup and found a pistol and two assault rifles along with a loaded high capacity magazines.

According to a Butte County Sheriff's press release, the men in the pickup, 21-year-old Cristian Jesus Lambera Pimentel and 28-year-old Jorge Mardanado Castaneda were arrested for various fire arms charges.
