36 year old Andrew Shepherd of Chico is believed to be the man who robbed the 711 downtown in mid February and then at least three other Chico businesses including the Safeway on East Avenue. Shepherd was arrested late last week for an outstanding warrant for a prior incident. Chico Police Detectives then searched his home where they reportedly found evidence linking him to the robberies. According to a Chico Police Department press release, Shepard was arrested and booked on three counts of armed robbery and a single count of attempted robbery.
