An early morning pursuit in Chico leads to the arrest of two felons. After 1:30 this morning an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on East 9th Street at the Highway 99 overpass. The driver of the vehicle reportedly did not yield leading the officier on a pursuit. The chase ended at Humboldt Avenue at Bartlett Street when the driver allegedly fled from the vehicle while it was still moving. The officer then pursued the suspect on foot behind the Square Deal Mattress Factory. According to a Chico Police PD press release, the suspect, 28-year-old David Pacheco was caught and reportedly found in possession of Cocaine, Ecstasy, and Psilocybin (mushrooms). A loaded 9mm pistol was also reportedly found. Pacheco was arrested on a slew of charges. 27-year-old Charles Augmon, who police say is a known felon, was in the suspected vehicle and was also arrested.
