Officers arrived to the 100 block of West 11th Street around 1 Monday morning where they learned that the victim had fired a semi-automatic pistol at the suspect. The bullet missed the suspect, identified as 73-year-old Walter Lane and he fled the residence in a Ford pick-up. Butte County Sheriff's Deputies spotted the truck in the area of Park Avenue at Meyers Street. According to Chico Police, Butte County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop and Lane was arrested for domestic battery with injury.
