A man was allegedly seen striking a window of a vehicle parked at the 11 hundred block of Sheridan Avenue before 8 Tuesday morning. Someone confronted the suspect who reportedly become confrontational and the person fled into their apartment. The suspect then reportedly kicked in the door, but fled after the resident threatened to call the police. The suspect allegedly got into a running Nissan pickup truck and took off. Police say the suspect got into a collision and then fled on foot. He reportedly got back into the truck and took off, after briefly breaking into a nearby residence. Officers spotted the vehicle on Manzanita Avenue near Hooker Oak Park, where the suspect got out of the vehicle and hid himself in the dense overgrowth. According to a Chico Police Department press release, Sheriff K-9 arrived and found the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Pawandeep Sekhon of Patterson. He was arrested on a slew of charges.
