Several callers reported to police that a man was seen climbing over the rail of the 20th Street overpass before 1 Thursday afternoon. Officers arrived and made contact with the man and after a brief conversion, he willing came down from the edge of the overpass. Chico Fire personnel assisted with safely lowering the man down. According to Chico Police, the unidentified man was taken to a local mental health facility for an evaluation.
