The Tehama County Distric Attorney's Office announced Friday that the Humboldt County Superior Court denied the placement of Joshua Cooley to Red Bluff. District Attorney Matthew Rogers and the leaders of Tehama County and Red Bluff law enforcement agencies were joined by Assemblyman James Gallagher and State Senator Jim Neilsen in adamantly opposing Cooley's placement. Rogers thanked residents for the over 1,200 signatures that were submitted to the Judge who ruled on the case. Rogers said he was overwhelmed at the outpouring of support by the community and fellow government officials, according to a news release from the Tehama County District Attorney's Office.
