Authorities are releasing more details about a fatal shooting in Oroville Wednesday morning. The Butte County Sheriff's Office says an attempted home invasion robbery occured early Wednesday morning at a home on Arbol Avenue in Oroville. One man was found dead and another suffering from a gunshot wound. Authorities determined that a female homeowner wrestled away the gun and reportedly fired shots at the suspect, striking BOTH the suspect and homeowner. The suspect, 33 year old Cody Faunce of Oroville, was shot dead in the altercation and the male homeowner was rushed to a local hospital with a gunshot wound. The female homeower was not injured. The investigation continues, according to the Butte County Sheriff's Office.
