A Chico PD K9 Finds Drugs During a Traffic Stop

A Butte County Sheriff's Deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Flying V Street in south Chico around 4:30 Monday afternoon. A Chico Police officer took over the investigation and requested a K-9 Unit. The K-9 reportedly detected the presence of narcotics. The officer searched the vehicle and allegedly discovered methamphetamine paraphernalia. The officer then searched the driver, identified as 30-year-old Jasmine Knecht of Salinas and reportedly found about 10 grams of meth and 17 grams of heroin. She was arrested for drug possession and sales charges.
