The Chico Police Department is reaching out to reassure people in the wake of the shootings in Texas and Ohio. Chico Police Chief Mike O'Brien reminds people that active shooter drills were just conducted at the two Chico High Schools and that first responders will be prepared and deployed quickly. He adds the public is important, too, and must report any suspicious activity. Chief O'Brien reminds people the most effective action is PREVENTING such incidents and for that his department relies on a vigilant public.
