An investigation in to an assault in Oroville leads to an arrest. The Butte County Sheriff's Office announced Monday that 30-year-old Colvin Archuleta was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon that took place last Thursday evening.

That night deputies contacted the victim who had sustained serious head injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery. According to a Butte County Sheriff's Office press release, the victim is currently listed in stable condition. Archuleta was arrested after detectives reportedly found evidence including a green baseball bat.
