State Senator Jim Nielsen and Northstate Assemblyman James Gallagher have announced securing 5 million dollars in the state budget to help cities that have absorbed a large population of Camp Fire survivors. Chico will receive 3 million dollars and Oroville will receive 2 million dollars. That money will go towards replacing and improving the infrastructure of the two cities.

According to the press release, Chico and Oroville officials will decide in the coming weeks how to allocate these funds to address public safety, roads, traffic, and other impacts.
