The department increased staffing for the holiday weekend, but police say there were no significant events in the south campus area.

Police say there were 48 misdemeanor arrests and 6 felony arrests. Along with that there were 64 traffic citations, 34 vehicle impounds, and 37 alcohol citations.

According to the Chico Police Department, the numbers represent a decrease in arrests and citations from the previous year.
