The Red Bank Fire burning west of Red Bluff has now burned 6,500 acres and is 5 percent contained.
The blaze started Thursday afternoon off of Hammer Loop Road and Petty John Road.
There are evacuation orders for Petty John Road to the Forest Service Boundary and for Red Bank Oaks Subdivision, and R-Wild Horse Ranch.
According to Cal Fire, the blaze is burning in a remote location with difficult access.
