Around 1 Saturday morning deputies were dispatched to a residence in Berry Creek after a report of man who had allegedly shot himself. The man was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Detectives at the residence discovered a large marijuana grow. According to the Butte County Sheriff's Office, numerous illegal items were located at the property including a butane honey oil lab, processed marijuana, and an illegal assault weapon. 40-year-old Jeramy Claflin and 31-year-old Carl Lee were arrested for manufacturing a controlled substance and other related charges along with weapons charges. Authorities are on the lookout for 25-year-old Romtin Ziaee who they say left the residence before deputies arrived.
