Officers were called to the 200 block of West 21st Street where a resident reported after 3:30 Tuesday afternoon that a man was refusing to leave the property. The suspect reportedly jumped the fence into the neighbor's yard as officers arrived. An officer and his K-9 reportedly spotted the man fleeing down the street as they arrived. The officer told the man to get down on the ground. According to Chico Police, the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Nicholas Hoxie complied after spotting the K-9. Hoxie was found to have a felony warrant for possession of a dagger as well as a warrant out of Glenn County for narcotics possession.
