Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of the Esplanade and East Lassen Avenue before 2 Saturday morning. A K-9, named Aron, was deployed and reportedly detected narcotics. Officers allegedly found Methamphetamine in the vehicle and on the driver, identified as 37-year-old Ricardo Castrejon. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and for drug paraphernalia.

Police say K-9 Aron was rewarded for his hard work with an extra scoop of dog food.
