The PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff has started this morning and will happen throughout the day - some areas may not be impacted until 4 pm today.

Officials with PG&E say more than 13 thousand customers will be impacted in Butte County including portions of Chico, Oroville, Paradise, Magalia, Stirling City, Bangor, Berry Creek, Butte Meadows, Clipper Mills, Cohasset, Forbestown, Forest Ranch.

Flourney, Manton, and Mill Creek in Tehama County are among the communities PG&E removed from the list of impacted areas to make a smaller power outage footprint.
