Criminal Threats Arrest

Criminal threats sends one Chico man behind bars. Officers were dispatched to Seven Eleven on Forest Avenue around 4 Sunday morning after reports of an armed robbery. Officers learned that no robbery had taken place, but that a man had allegedly made criminal threats against the employee who also reportedly saw a knife on the suspect before he fled the store.

Officers found the man, identified as 22-year-old Michael Gardenhire near the corner of East 20th and Notre Dame Blvd. and reportedly found him in possession of a knife, a loaded semi-automatic handgun, and a fake firearm. According to the Chico Police Department, Gardenhire was arrested for criminal threats and weapons charges.
