A special ceremony is planned this morning for 2 Butte County authorities who will receive national recognition. Detective Jason Miller and Investigative Assistant Jennifer Celentano of the Butte County Sheriff's Office are being rewarded for excellence in overseeing the county's 395 sex offenders. The national organization Offender Watch will recognize the two in a ceremony that takes place at the Sheriff's East Facility at 11:30 AM. According to the Butte County Sheriff's Office, the two were chosen from some 14 thousand Offender Watch users out of more than 3 thousand agencies.
