Chico Police officers responded to assist a CHP Officer who had conducted a traffic stop on the East Avenue off ramp of Highway 99 around midnight Sunday. The driver had been detained, but the male passenger allegedly locked the doors and jumped into the drivers seat. He reportedly took off and ended up on East 1st Avenue where police say he was speeding and failing to stop at red lights. For this reason officers backed off and the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Alex Bundlie of Paradise was able to get away. According to Chico Police, Bundlie is a wanted felon out of the Paradise Police Department and the Butte County Sheriff's Office
