FEMA has approved public assistance for the Government Hazard Tree Removal Program, which has pushed the deadline for right of entry forms to May First. Both the County and the Town of Paradise recently received word that the Federal Agency has approved public assistance funding for the removal of hazard trees rooted on private property that are a threat to fall on roads traveled by the public. The FEMA expansion includes some 5 thousand additional properties.

According to the Town of Paradise, not all private roads are included in the program. Town officials say to refer to the State's Hazard Tree Removal Map, which you can find at: www.buttecountyrecovers.org
