Butte and Glenn Counties Supervisor's Meeting Changes

Butte County implements Board of Supervisor meeting changes based on guidance from the Governor and from public health officials. For the March 24 and April 14 meetings only agenda items included will be those essential to operations of the county and items in support of emergency response such as Camp Fire recovery and COVID-19 response.

Also every two seats in the public section of the Board Chambers will be taped off to allow for social distancing. Members of the public are also encouraged to submit comments via e-comments or e-mail instead of in-person.

Glenn County is also laying down some rules for Supervisors' meetings. According to county officials the meetings will continue but individual Board members can now phone into meetings instead of having to be there in person. They are also encouraging people to listen to the live stream audio of Board meetings. Residents who choose not to come to the meeting but have comment are urged to submit it via email no later than 5 PM Monday prior to the Board Meeting.
