BCSO COVID-19 Response

The Butte County Sheriff's Office says medical screening in the jail has been enhanced since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. They say in the event there is a confirmed case of the coronavirus in the county, visting programs and general access to the Butte County Jail will be modified in order to mitigate the effects of the virus to the community and to the inmate population. The Sheriff's Office also says that correctional and patrol deputies have been outfitted with Personal Protective Equipment.

The Butte County Sheriff's Office Records Division currently remains open for business at its normal hours, however they say in the event of an influx of people in the lobby, you may be asked to wait in your car until their scheduled appointment. Also, starting today appointments will be required for Live Scan Services. To make an appointment you can call the Records Unit at (530) 538-7391, or email at BCSOrecords@buttecounty.net.
