The driver of a BMW reportedly broadsided the passenger side of the patrol vehicle on Main Street at East 8th Street just after 7 Friday night. Police say both the driver of the BMW and the officer in the patrol vehicle complained of pain from the collision. Officers say the driver of the BMW, identified as 28-year-old Anthony Squitieri from Chico, allegedly displayed symptoms of being under the influence of drugs. According to the Chico Police Department, once he was medically cleared, at the hospital, he was arrested for D-U-I.
