Northstate receives Parks Grants from State

California State Parks will be providing $548.3 million in grant funding to more than 100 communities to deliver new parks and advance the Newsom Administration's "California Outdoors for All" initiative to enable all Californians to access parks and open space. Chico Area R.P.D. Chapman Park Renovation $2,952,954 (ALMOST 3 MILL) Paradise R.P.D. New Lakeridge Park $5,225,277 (5.2 MILLION) City of Corning New Downtown Center and Plaza Park $8,500,000 (8.5 MILLION) City of Redding New Panorama Park Project $8,500,000 (8.5 MILLION) Awarded through State Parks' Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program, the competitive grant program creates new parks and new recreation opportunities in underserved communities across California. The latest set of awards were funded by $153 million approved by the California Legislature in the 2021-'22 state budget and $395.3 from the California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, and Outdoor Access for All Act of 2018 (Proposition 68)
