A new survey by Tenants Together shows that hundreds of thousands of California households will be vulnerable to eviction, homelessness and long term debt due to significant barriers in accessing the funds. The barriers most common: obstacles in applying for and receiving rent relief, harassment and retaliation from landlords and lack of legal representation. The Emergency Rental Assistance Program is due to expire at the end of March.
