DWR Starts Work at Oroville Dam
More than five years after heavy rainfall damaged Oroville Dam's main and emergency spillways, the California Department of Water Resources will begin making repairs to the spillway. The DWR's multi-year project to repair eight gates gets underway today. Water Resource officials say local users should be aware of increased construction in the area. The project was first established after the 2017 dam emergency that saw the evacuation of more than 180,000 people living downstream along the Feather River.
