Butte County Sheriff's Office and Search and Rescue teams recovered the body of a 14-year-old boy , found dead near the bottom of a steep rock embankment in Berry Creek during a search effort Wednesday night. Deputies said they were contacted by the Boys Father who reported that they went camping with his son and a family friend, identified as Christopher Stephenson. He said they were camping in the area of Bald Rock Trailhead near Bean Creek Road. The man said he got separated from his son and Stephenson, prompting a response from deputies, the Butte County Search and Rescue team and a helicopter. Stephenson still had not been located as of Thursday afternoon, according to deputies
