UCSF releases 30 yr Study on Homelessness
The largest study in nearly 30 years is giving new insight into California's homelessness crisis. It found more than 171-thousand people are unsheltered daily, about twice as many as the next highest state of New York. What's more, most lived here before losing their housing, with nearly half over the age of 50. The UCSF Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative conducted the study and blames the problem on low incomes and high rent.
