Hand Count Voting Bill awaiting Newsome's Signature

California election reform bill drafted after Shasta County Supervisors voted to shift to hand counting ballots will head to the governor's desk. AB969 was passed by the Assembly Friday after being approved by the Senate. Governor Gavin Newsom will now decide if it will become law. The bill would limit hand-counting to elections with fewer than a thousand registered voters.
