The Jesus Center announced Thursday that it has been awarded a $250,000 grant award from the United States Department of Agriculture Agricultural Marketing Service through the agency's Farmers Market Promotion Program. The Jesus Center will receive grant funding to expand its Harvesting Hope Community Supported Agriculture program by launching a new retail location in South Chico to purchase fresh fruit and vegetables grown at the Jesus Center farm, as well as locally produced goods from partnering farms.
