Former City of Chico Mayor Randall Stone was flown to UC Davis on Saturday night after a drunk driver reportedly struck Stone while crossing the street. Police say the driver, identified as Lexy Cosper, 29, of Chico, has been arrested. Chico police (CPD) says the crash happened at around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday night, near Warner and Ivy streets. When officers arrived, the CPD says they found Stone with moderate injuries. Police say Cosper cooperated with law enforcement and was eventually determined to be under the influence of alcohol following an investigation. She was ultimately arrested and booked into the Butte County Jail for DUI causing injury and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol over .08%.
