Shasta County Sups Give themselves a Big Raise

The Shasta County Supervisors approved a 59% pay raise for themselves on Tuesday. Supervisors will now be getting a salary of just over $84,000, a bump of about $30,000 per year. In addition to the salary, they will also be given a yearly $5,000 vehicle allowance as well as an annual cost of living increase. The board had not had a pay increase in 22 years. The pay raise goes into effect on July 14.
