State to Fund Recycling Efforts

California is introducing over 250 new places where you can easily return your empty drink containers for recycling. They'll stretch over thirty counties. The state is investing in new ways to make recycling more convenient, like using special vending machines, mobile recycling centers, and drop-off locations for bags. This includes areas in the state that don't have as many recycling options including Butte, Imperial, Mendocino, Merced and Modoc. Governor Gavin Newsom announced that California is providing nearly 70-million dollars to support these efforts.
