Butte Co report most West Nile Cases in State

According to Butte County Public Health, Butte County has the most human cases of West Nile Virus (WNV) of any county in California in 2024. Seven of the state's 19 WNV cases are in Butte County. No other county has more than two, and among the three WNV deaths reported in California this year, one was in Butte County.
