Judge orders Man to Surrender Boat after Drowning Deer
— A Gridley man appeared in Butte County Superior Court and pleaded no-contest to using his boat to drown a deer in the Sacramento River,
The judge ordered him to forfeit his custom-built fishing boat, with an estimated value of $80,000, along with a trailer. According to Officials , Greg Dudley used the boat to drown the Deer on the River near Gridley Last year ..
He then lied to Game wardens saying he shot the deer with an arrow while hunting . Dudley was sentenced to one year of probation and will not be allowed to hunt during that time.
