Gov Newsome Celebrates Klamath River Dam Work
Governor Newsom is celebrating a "monumental achievement." The historic work to remove four dams from the Klamath River is done and water is flowing freely. Crews finished ahead of schedule in Siskiyou County near the Oregon border. Newsom says this gives salmon and other species a chance to thrive once again, while also restoring an essential lifeline for tribal communities. It will still take several years though restore the 22-hundred acres of formerly submerged land.
