A Yankee Hill man was sentenced in Butte County Superior Court today to two years in state prison after he set his taxicab and a patch of vegetation on fire in the rural and brush-covered area between Yankee Hill and Concow this summer. Douglas Rowell was arrested by CAL FIRE arson investigators last July at a makeshift RV campsite behind the old Rock House near the intersection of Highway 70 and Timtam Lane.
